As an experienced bicycle workshop we offer a variety of services to meet customers requirements. We offer easy-to-choose Bronze-Silver-Gold service levels and will recommend a service level when you come in. We can also undertake bespoke work depending on your needs. We offer a limited collection service for servicing within a 10 mile radius too.

Professional Wheel Building at The Bicycle Barn
We offer a wheel building service for most types of bicycles, offering over 30 years of wheel-building experience using high quality components from DT Swiss, Sapim, Mavic, Hope Technologies, Shimano, SRAM and much more. We can build wheels to your instructions, or offer full and impartial advice on what specification will suit you and your bicycle best. We also can repair existing wheels, whether it is to replace a broken spoke or a rebuild due to a new rim or hub being required.
Scott our senior wheel builder first started to build wheels when he was 12(!) by borrowing discarded wheels from the back of a bicycle shop. The same shop gave him his first experience in a bike shop, and by 16 he was running a wheel building business for local bike shops who did not have the time or skills to make wheels up themselves. Often being found in the guards van of a train on his college commute lacing wheels up, Scott has built wheels for everyone from fair weather cyclists to former Olympic cyclists. Every wheel we build is hand laced, and manually pre-tensioned several times to ensure the spokes are bedded in as much as possible before being installed on your bicycle, and our wheel-building comes with a FREE follow up build check once your wheels have bedded in, and a 1 year build warranty.
